Branson

Kevin & I will be going to Branson next weekend with my daughter, Devonne, and her husband, David. Looking forward to some outdoorsy stuff--hiking, etc., as well as shopping at the outlet mall.

Adventures for Spring Break

Our son, Keith, and his wife, Martha, are gone to Cuernavaca, Mx for a Mission trip with his youth group so Kelley and I are playing with their 3 children- Reese,5, Anna Wren,3, and Claire, 18 months. We are very BUSY, but we sure are having fun! It's been a long time since we had 3 little kids around the house. Anyone else have big plans? Karen

If you haven't met Kent Dunnington, Paula's son, here he is visiting Ma the first part of January.


This is Miranda & Monica Kitts...Monte's estranged daughters...our granddaughters. They visited Ma the first week in January and she gave them words of wisdom.



And these girls...in a far away place, a long, long time ago!
Some things never change, this is not one of them.

Alvoree and his mother, Myrtle...in front of the house on the original homestead...it was added to several times. About a half mile east of the house where I was born. I know that I have a picture that shows more of the house somewhere.

Here's a picture of the house where Bonita was born many, many long years ago!!! ha ha

This was the house they left when they moved to Rocky Ford. Before this, Ma,Pa, Billy, Richard, and Velva lived in the dugout house which weathered the dust storms and which was behind where this white house is now. This is about a mile from the Banner Cemetery.

If anyone has a picture of the farmhouse where Pa grew up near here, I'd like to see it. I understand it's still standing and in good shape, but I didn't get to see it while there.
